It is to despair.

Russell T. Davies brought a wit and intelligence to the show which displayed neither for the last ten years of its original, wretched life and which was rightly put out of our misery. Tennant was no slacker, either, and if some of the best modern episodes were indeed written by Moffat, hurrah, but Russell T. Davies achieved the nigh-impossible in resurrecting it at all, yet all you read online right now are the snide carpings of intellectually stunted misanthropes - even on the Guardian website. The ingratitude of it all.

Besides, Claire Bloom in Doctor Who! That made my Christmas.
