More musings from the mildly troubled maestro of self-doubt. Endearing autobiographical material transparently disguised through his usual anthropomorphic veil. Why Trondheim draws himself with a duck's head I honestly don't know, but it actually has no particular bearing on the content one way or the other. Lovers of autobiographical material from people like Eddie Campbell and Kyle Baker should definitely take a look. You'll find yourself shaking your head and chuckling to yourself at Lewis' anecdotes of holidays with his family, trips to comics festivals and drunken evenings with other creators, plus hypochondria by proxy thanks to his pets. Apparently looking from the glass half empty (if only just!) perspective, Trondheim is always willing to make himself the butt of the joke in any scenario and not afraid to make himself look completely ridiculous upon occasion in a manner that just flows gently from well observed situation to well observed situation without ever seeming forced.
