Far denser than his first MONOLOGUES book, Anders' work here is to comics what Jack Kerouac's sketches were to prose. Working for a minute on each panel, Anders charges through ideas, pirouettes in tangents and somehow manages to stay clear-headed enough to see some points home. You can almost perceive some sort of plot evolving from the thoughtforms too. The secret agents, robots, and squiggle-headed demons at first seem to appear to forward the vitriolic tracts until they become a repeating motif. Then out of nowhere these characters are not only conceived but become alive on the page.
