Libraries
Hello librarians! Page 45 currently supplies graphic novels and comics to over 25 libraries and would be more than happy to discuss your particular requirements on an individual basis if you’re interested in having comics or graphic novels on your shelves. Maybe you already do have them in your library, but feel you’d like to work with a supplier who really understands the whole medium and would love to help you get the finest reading material into the hands of your readers.
It’s all about what you want, whether it’s a fresh selection of prime graphic novels to bolster an existing collection, or a small to mammoth selection to stock a library right up for the very first time! Some of you will know exactly what you want already and some libraries like to come for an in-store visit and have us show them a selection of books to help them make their choices.
We work closely with school libraries of all age groups to help them pick suitable content and aid their literacy programmes, and you’ll find an example of Stephen visiting Nottingham Girl’s High School for a show-and-tell for 30 school librarians in the News & Letters March 2011. We’ve also worked with prison libraries to choose the right type of material for their readers.
And very importantly we offer 15% discount with free delivery on all library orders over £100, the invoices being payable within 30 days.
If you would like a library login for the store so you can make your purchases online, just let us know and we will set you one up. The discount will automatically kick in at the checkout once you have spent over £100.
Please feel free to give us a call on (0115) 9508045 if you want to have a chat about your comic and graphic novel needs, or if you’ve got any questions at all. We’d love to help and we’re more than happy to provide library customer references for you to speak to directly about how we’ve helped them and the level of service we provide for them.
If you’re thinking about organising a library event, perhaps a comicbook workshop, please see Presentations & Workshops in our Fun & Resources section. You’ll also find a couple of testimonials from schools at the bottom for whom comics have made all the difference.
