Genius.
I laughed and laughed and then, hours after I last laughed, I suddenly, spontaneously laughed again.
While pouring coffee, I'm afraid; I now need to get my jacket dry-cleaned.
It doesn't matter what subject matter Tom's titles suggest each book is nominally dealing with - or whether the comic strips and cartoons are originally published (in The Guardian, New Scientist ...) - Gauld's comedy is aimed in a singular, specific direction: us.
The way we are, the way we think, the way we behave; and we're all so very, very funny.
It's just few of us are as witty or as wicked as Tom.
Also in stock by Tom Gauld (with reviews):
Goliath, Mooncop, You're All Just Jealous Of My Jetpack, Revenge Of The Librarians, Depaetment Of Mind-Blowing Physics and Baking With Kafka.
Which isn't a cookery book.
