Joyous! Gripping! Then an emotional rollercoaster!

Bursting with beautiful colours and the most phenomenal spirit of place, two school friends, recently separated by different college choices, travel from Canada to New York for the very first time, one of them bringing a new, more flamboyant friend. And they are SO excited!

What could possibly go wrong?

I love the curves on the hip and thighs on left of the first image to the right (much later in the book), and the tiny gap on top of the lower lip to the right: imagine the line unbroken and it robs her face of a little of its life.

Please pop "Tamaki" into our search engine for many, many more extensive reviews, for they're responsible for at least two former Page 45 Comicbooks Of The Month, and two entries on the Comics Laureate Recommended Reading List.

Lastly: always look under a dustjacket! ;)

The publisher writes:

"Over the course of a much-anticipated trip to New York, an unexpected fling blossoms between casual acquaintances and throws a long-term friendship off-balance. Slick attention to the details of a bustling, intimidating metropolis are softened with a palette of muted pastels, as though seen through the eyes of first-time travelers. The awe, wonder, and occasional stumble along the way come to life with stunning accuracy."
