Page 45 Review by Stephen

Sophie has become the latest incarnation of Promethea, an entity powered by imagination, but whilst she embarks on a quest with former Promethea Barbara, ever upwards through the realm of the Immateria to very highest, purest sphere of the Kaballah, her school friend and closet-case Stacia has been charged with taking her place, "partnered" by another incarnation, the sapphic Grace. Stacia's approach is far more physical, almost carnal, revelling in her power, and she's gone and fallen in love with Grace. So what will happen when Sophie returns? Will she relinquish the mantle, or is everything about to come crashing down? At the centre of this book is the blinding issue of light at the highest sphere, represented as a silvery Arcadia, visually, sexually, emotionally magnificent - completely overwhelming. God, but I loved this series. Book five will wrap it all up.
